expanding all the marketing activities relating to professional football.
To support and continue expanding the company successfully, we are seeking for our Frankfurt/Main office a qualified
Manager International Market Strategy (m/f/d)
The international market strategy manager is part of Bundesliga International’s Global Marketing team. Alongside working closely with Bundesliga
International’s local offices and cross-company departments on international marketing activities, the IMSM is tasked with managing localisation activities
and further developing Bundesliga’s content marketing activities. Your experience in content marketing, production, digital and social media will enable you
to develop league growth and strengthen commercial, broadcaster and third party media relationships in key territories across the globe.
Your tasks:
Oversee & further develop Bundesliga’s digital content marketing
Planning, production and distribution of various localised content
formats (videos, graphics, stories, etc.)
Key account for all international agencies and suppliers, whilst looking
to further develop vendor options
Defining and installing operations, workflows and systems in close
consultation with the responsible decision makers across the DFL and
external groups
Develop and prepare digital content packages and bespoke editorial
themes for the local market/s and media platforms
Identifying local influencers, building relationships with bloggers and
increasing dialogue with relevant local communities in close
collaboration with BLI & local Marketing/PR Managers
Market research & evaluation of the digital media ecosystem in key
territories, constantly looking to develop the product/s based on
developing trends
Taking ownership of KPI tracking and wider reporting, constantly
looking to develop output and product based on performance
Supporting various sections of the DFL to best synergise local activities
with commercial and broadcast partners
Working closely with local offices in Singapore, New York and Beijing
to establish solid workflows and an ongoing exchange regarding
digital marketing & content activities
Your profile:
University degree in journalism, media or communication studies and
a minimum of four years’ relevant work experience
Holistic understanding of regional trends and developments in digital
content output and social platforms
Solid understanding of industry best practices on a variety of relevant
areas, including production, technologies, content strategy and
Thorough knowledge of sport, especially football
Alongside enthusiasm for sport in general and football in
particular, you should also demonstrate the following abilities:
Experience in international and/or localised content is a strong
Ability to converse in English is essential, German would be a benefit,
any other language/s highly advantageous
Strong communication skills, able to convey message to a number of
groups, all with different level of understanding and experience
Team player with advanced personal skills and the ability to guide
internal and external stakeholders
Hands on mentality, able to take total ownership of projects and
deliver at a consistent high level
Willingness and flexibility to working patterns that are relevant for
key markets
