Editorial Lead, Internal Communication (m/f/d) JR-0009773

Your responsibilities and tasks

  • Responsible for the editorial team which includes 4 people.
  • Responsible for content creation on all internal communication platforms.
  • Providing strategic advice and counsel to managers at all levels to ensure that all messages are delivered with confidence, consistency and robustness via channels such as internal magazines and newsletters.
  • Managing and facilitating the internal communications cascade from top management to all front-line employees to provide all GEA employees with up to date information about key initiatives, projects and relevant business developments.
  • Building on and managing existing internal communication channels and exploring new and innovative ways of communicating, including bottom-up messages that improve the level of engagement within GEA.
  • Developing internal tone of voice guidelines and communication consistency through the GEA organization, bringing values to life and instilling a sense of pride among GEA employees.
  • Acting as communication partner for selected key projects

Your profile and qualifications

  • A university degree in journalism, communication or similar
  • At least 5+ years experience working in journalism, agency or a corporate communication department in the industry
  • Business fluent in German and English language
  • Excellent writing skills combined with an ability to produce quality content quickly.
  • Prior management of complex projects, people and advising senior managers is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship­building skills, as well as the confidence to work closely with and instruct senior executives in communication techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, correct language and logical story construction in German and English.
  • Experience in deploying effective offline/online content distribution methods, promoting content through other channels.
  • An ability to identify, research and produce a good story as well as target it at different audiences and platforms.
