We‘re looking for a Senior PR & Corporate Communicator (f/m/d) to join the global Enterprise Communications team in Putzbrunn near Munich.
Based on long-term business goals, you will strategize, recommend and implement external affairs activities to support Gore‘s operations and sales offices in Germany and other EU countries. Your responsibilities are:
- Developing and implementing communication strategies, programs and tools, to build on Gore’s excellent reputation and responding to topics of interest to the public, working with the global leadership and regional key stakeholders
- Providing the European regional perspective, serve as a key member of the global external affairs team, shape and implement effective global communication processes
- Being the Enterprise’s voice to the media in Germany and EU, serving as a highly professional communications consultant, especially in external affairs and issue management
- Develop and execute strategic programs for media relations and proactively maintain relationships with our media contacts and industry associations
Required qualifications are:
- University degree
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate communications and external affairs in a large global matrix organization, balancing divisional and corporate perspectives
- Experience working with all kind of media on product, safety, policy and practice aspects of a multinational corporation, including responding effectively to probing media inquiries
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing varied communications strategies for matters of public interest, including the ability to measure effectiveness
- Ability to anticipate areas of risk and respond quickly and appropriately to reputational challenges and crises
- Proven mature judgment, and experience working on complex, sensitive topics
- Strong understanding of traditional, social, and emerging media
- Skill at writing and content creation for varied channels
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in German, English, additional languages a plus
- Ability to travel up to 30%, including some international travel
- Experience in a science-based, technically oriented organization, working on remote teams as well as working with product safety, social standards compliance and corporate social responsibility are a plus
