Senior Manager Public Affairs & Sustainable Development Animal Health – (m/w/d) – 219346

With impactful One Health solutions by one of the leading global players in Animal Health you refine and deliver on political and sustainability strategies in a global environment.

Tasks & responsibilities:

In your new role, you strengthen, complement and further professionalize the political and sustainability related work of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH) with regards to both internal and external stakeholders and in terms of both strategy design and execution.
As part of our team BIAH Public Affairs & Sustainable Development you own, support, lead and execute political and sustainability related work for the animal health business and serve as point of contact for critical substantive topics and relationships - both internal and external.
You drive and enable a matrixed global team of locally reporting Public Affairs professionals to ensure an aligned, successful, highly professional and locally adapted approach in BIAH´s political work. This includes defining and executing strategies for anticipating and addressing specific political and/or sustainability tasks and opportunities.
One of your key tasks is driving alignment on company positions and political action plans for key political and sustainability topics relevant for BIAH.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in political sciences, law, sustainability, environmental management or comparable with long-term experience in political and/or sustainability related work in industry, government, association, NGO or comparable entity.
Deep and broad understanding of policy and sustainability issues affecting the animal health as well as the life sciences industry in general
Expertise and proven track record of successfully navigating within complex multi-stakeholder political and politicized environments towards specific tangible outcomes such as government decisions
Strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to lead others in a matrixed environment without reliance on reporting lines
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, creativity and a pragmatic can-do mindset to see and construct viable solutions where others see problems
Solid understanding as well as passion for the importance of political and sustainability work as a key success factor for global industry players
Resilience and intrinsic motivation with outstanding communication skills in English - written, and oral
