Its responsibilities include responding to inquiries from the media, drafting press releases, preparing and organizing interviews and press conferences, and creating up-to-date image, audio and editorial content for the purpose of media relations. The Global Media Relations department is responsible for managing all press issues relevant to the Group as a whole as well as for its divisions and is a primary interface for coordinating and implementing DPDHL's corporate communications strategy. The department oversees a "one voice" policy for media worldwide.

Press Spokesperson / Pressesprecher Global Media Relations (m/f/d)
Job description
- You assume the role as press spokesperson for DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI), Partner Programs (PP), while you will also cooperate with, support and deputies for other press spokespersons within the team Global Media Relations. In this role you will be part of the DHL Media Relations Team.
- Provide and implement a professional media/information service for journalists from all types of media for the CSI department as well as for our Partner Programs, and track and monitor the success of press work and reporting
- Contribute to establishing and developing close relationships with journalists and media and set up and maintain an internal network within the company
- Take on an advisory and service role for management in all matters of external communications for CSI, PP and occasionally other Corporate Issues
- In addition you support communications of other Corporate Issues as well as Strategic Projects and deliver basic data and fact sheets on the Group for external communication purposes
- Report regularly to your Team Lead and the Senior Vice President Group Media Relations
Your profile
- University degree in Communications, PR, Business/Economics or similar qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience ideally in Media Relations or as a press spokesperson
- Working knowledge and understanding of Journalism
- Excellent project management skills
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
- Editorial competence as well as the ability to process complex facts in a comprehensible and target group-oriented manner
- Completed media training is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills both in personal dealings with others and in correspondence
- Strong ability to work in a team and a high degree of flexibility
- Ability to work independently, integrity and loyalty, positive and purposeful manner
- Enthusiasm for social media topics and digital communication
