Job mission:
Provide support to the Kia Europe PR team on all PR Matters, both in day to day business operations as well as mid to long term PR strategy development and execution. Be a key point of contact for Kia Europe subsidiary and distributor PR teams, providing guidance and support on Pan-European PR and communication matters. A specific focus on Digital PR to increase awareness, relevancy and enhance perceptions of the Kia Brand via online channels.
Your Responsibilities:Market PR Support:
- Build long-term relationships with market PR teams & other key stakeholders, maintaining contact databases and mailing lists.
- Examine and document European-wide media coverage and track relevant PR metrics together with PR Manager (Corporate) & Senior Manager PR (Product).
- Together with the intern, manage and field questions from the Kia PR internal email account.
- Support the Press car specialist concerning fleet car requests from the markets.
- Together with Car Specialist & Product PR: Crisis PR management – support effective management/reporting on incidents involving Kia products (connect with press clipping agency to quickly identify stories).
Digital PR Support:
- Develop digital PR strategies: creating plans and roadmaps for digital PR that compliment Product, Corporate and Brand Experience yearly planning to increase awareness, relevancy and perceptions of the Kia brand.
- Online optimization: Work with agencies to create a SEO dictionary to apply to Press Releases with the goal of ensuring a higher search rate result + rework Press Releases into less formal articles with backlinks.
- Via Corporate PR: Support Kia Europe’s social networking websites e.g. LinkedIn.
- Together with Corporate PR and Brand Experience, create content that shows the brand personality – related to Brand, ethics, internal corporate PR topics, HR issues etc. Help build the brand's identity online by creating regular news stories understanding the target audience.
- Build a database and relationship of trust with key online opinion leaders.
- Social Media Q&A – Work with Product PR / Brand/ Social Media to identify the correct answers and style to questions posed online within social media communities (Facebook/ Instagram etc.). Support markets with guidelines.
- Influencer Marketing: Together with Brand Experience & PR, conceptualize storyboards and identify the appropriate influencer guidelines per project. Become familiar with identifying minimum output for investment made to consult to markets. Compile Competitive analysis including audience, data and topic research to identify what is hot and how Kia can hook into relevant trends.
- Create top online media lists and conduct regular sanitization research of rising online platforms per market & influencers + showcase to markets in monthly newsletter.
- Project monitoring and creating monthly performance reports (with Brand Experience and Corporate PR).
General PR support:
- Provide team assistance in the organization and execution of PR and Brand Experiential events.
- Support Manager PR (Corporate PR) in the setting-up and management of presentations for local market PR communications & meetings.
- Draft different types of Corporate PR content for final approval (for example media announcements, press releases, Q&A, recall statements etc.) including digital PR versions thereof.
- University degree (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience
- 3-4 years of relevant work experience in sales/marketing/PR role, ideally automotive.
- Desirable – PR agency experience and social media platforms.
- Fluency in English required. Additional languages will be a plus.
- Strong written skills.
- Highly numerate and PC literate. MS Office advanced (PPT/Excel)
