Tasks
In this role, your responsibilities and duties may include:
- Regular contact and networking with parliamentary staff and groups in Germany & Brussels,staff of the relevant government and European agencies, representatives of EU Member States representatives of associations as well as with press and media
- Monitor and evaluate communication of the EU Institutions and assessment of relevance for LHG. Evaluate political and reputational risks and consequences of LHG projects and initiatives.
- Create profesional position papers, presentations,briefings,etc
- Preparing/developing/distributing communication/press releases/social media aimed at the political environment
- Represent LHG and its positions towards stakeholders and in working groups of associations and other meetings relevant to the assigned topics and projects

Requirements
The ideal EU Affairs Communications Manager must fulfill the following requirements:
- University education (Master or equivalent) preferably in politics, law, European studies, economics, journalism, communications.
- Work experience in communications and/or journalism in politics EU/government institution.
- Knowledge in legislative process in the EU and DE.
- Good understanding of economics and politics.
- German and English level C2, if not native language, third language beneficial.
- Time flexibility.
- Must be prepared to travel.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex issues.
- Very good feeling for language and textual confidence.
- Excellent skills in preparing presentations and briefings.
