The role responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Client Contribution & Handling
- Advise pharmaceutical and healthcare customers on a suitable market access and communication strategy for all those involved in the German and international market entry process (G-BA, IQWIG, patient relations, politics, health insurance companies, the public, associations, etc.)
- Provide relevant insights, guidance, and advice to clients in the areas of public affairs and corporate communications
- Serve as day-to-day client liaison, acting with discretion, maturity, and excellent judgment at all times
- Maintain and demonstrate awareness of broad industry trends affecting clients, particularly specific to the healthcare sector
Team Management
- Work with Partners and Directors on the management of client deliverables
- Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure excellent client work as well as professional growth and development opportunities
- Manage the development of key client documents by playing a vital role through the drafting, editing, and review process
- Plan and execute client announcements and events. Illustrative responsibilities include:
- Strategic communications plan development
- Preparation and coordination of strategic communications documents including talking points, Q&As, day-of rollouts, media backgrounders, etc.
- Day-of management of rollout / logistics
- Media handling
- Oversee research assignments; work with junior team members to distill large amounts of information into impactful and concise points
- Organize stakeholder meetings and logistics, including client interactions with media and the political environment
Networking
- Proactively build a network of industry-relevant individuals
- Dedicate time and effort to building a network within Brunswick across our global offices, and with talent referrals who might enrich and strengthen the Brunswick team
Candidate Specification
The successful candidate will be able to/will possess:
- Professional experience in a consulting environment, a communications agency or in an association working with clients in the healthcare sector, or equivalent corporate experience (pharmaceutical or biotechnology)
- In-depth expertise of the German health care and reimbursement system including its structure and the contribution of the G-BA with the ability to develop and assess concepts for strategic interaction and communication with the various interest groups involved in the process
- Strong verbal communication skills both in German and English with high EQ levels and an engaging presentation style
- An affinity for digital topics and tools in view of the rapid digitization of the healthcare industry
- An existing network in the political environment and the ability to gain access to the media
- A good understanding of the influence of the media, politics and the public on companies and other organizations
- Think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to write thoughtful, well-structured content, considering the audience in style and tone of communications
- Express a point of view in a thoughtful manner; analysing and distilling complex information
- Question and challenge in a constructive way
- Act as energetic team player with strong self-motivation and experience in leading teams
