We are recruiting for a Team Lead position for our HR Operations team in Germany. The role can be located in either Hamburg or Cologne (Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Rheinland). This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and grow a team of 10 HR Advisors across 2 different locations and be part of a Global HR community. You will be able to make key contributions to our journey of simplification, automation and digitalization of our HR processes across the entire employee life cycle. As a member of the HR Operations DACH Leadership team you will drive our ambition to create an exceptional employee experience by ensuring the delivery of end-to-end HR Operations support.
What is the role
Your key accountibilities will include:

Ensuring efficient delivery of HR support with a focus on exceptional employee experience

Ensuring that processes and procedures for the team are in line with policies and guidelines

Ensuring correctness and compliance of monthly payroll activities

Driving high performance culture through coaching, capability building and data-driven improvement focus

Ensuring development and engagement of team members. This entails positive recognition opportunities, performance reviews, promoting career development within and outside of the team and giving space for personal and professional growth

Providing input to streamline processes and procedures within HR Operations using best practices, to provide better efficiencies and reduce costs

Active participation in various operating/networking HR Operations forums within and outside the designated cluster as well as outside HR Operations

Participating in or leading regional projects aimed at ensuring operational excellence

Ensuring quality of data handled by the team, and that the team acts in accordance with Information Compliance and Data Privacy rules
What we need from you
This role creates a unique opportunity to develop as a leader of a virtual team for candidates bringing previous HR experience combined with previous (informal) experience in leading and coaching teams, as well as candidates bringing leadership experience gained in operations focused on customer centricity. The key requirements are:

University level degree combined with several years of experience as an HR professional

Coaching or leadership experience with a focus on driving performance through engagement and care

Excellent Stakeholder Management skills and ability to deliver through others

Demonstrated mindset of driving excellent HR experiences

Ability to embrace change, prioritize and lead the team through transitions in a fast-paced environment

Strong focus on compliance and good understanding of compliance-related business risks

Strong problem solver and decision maker

Strong Continuous Improvement mindset

Familiarity with HR Systems & Processes is an advantage
