About the Role:


We are looking for a PR specialist (f/m/d) to join our Technical Oriented Fabrics team supporting the GoreTex Professional Business in Defence, Public Safety  and Workware Marktes. In this role, you will collaborate with MarCom, Sales and Product Specialist associates regarding upcoming product communications. You will coordinate PR agencies as well as media requests. Furthermore, you will drive our sustainability communications and function as spokesperson for the technical fabrics business relevant topics.

This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn near Munich, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:

  • Advise the strategic marketers for the yearly PR planning
  • Cooperate with different stakeholders across all business units regarding product communications for own channels, at events and in specialist media
  • To support Technical Fabrics, the geographic scope of the role is global (partnering with broader Fabrics PR team), with the day to day primary emphasis in Europe
  • Exercise practical skills with a hands-on mentality in writing
  • Control and brief PR agencies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, France, Spain, Italy and Sweden
  • Manage newsroom in English and German plus training of PR agencies in the markets on how to use the tool
  • Coordinate media requests and hold internal media trainings for associates
  • Coordinate the content process within the division and collaborate with the Marketing associates regarding storylines, photo and video shooting, etc.
  • Align with Consumer Oriented Fabrics content team for joint work across business units
  • Training of market facing associates regarding our sustainability approach and communication as well as presentation of sustainability content during sales and customer meetings

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Marketing/PR Degree preferred with a minimum experience of 5 years and proven track record in B2B marketing (B2C helpful), including PR, digital, brand & event marketing
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to integrate across businesses and functions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing agencies and handling media
  • Strong capability in executing events and trainings
  • Ability to develop marketing/pr plans and drive implementation across multiple business units
  • Background and passion in sustainability and sustainability communication
  • Strong track record of developing and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across the European sales and marketing functions
  • Affinity for social media and digital communication
  • German and English fluency
