We are looking for a:
Head of Public Affairs (m/f/d)
This is what you can expect, among other things:
- Functional leadership of Government Affairs and the PR and Communications department at the site, as well as professional support for the local leadership team in Gronau
- Overall responsibility for relationship management with government officials, Communications and PR, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility in Germany for Urenco (including internal communication at the site and relationships with local stakeholders)
- Contribution to the business plan, the risk matrix, and relevant site strategies of Urenco in Gronau
- Development and responsibility for the implementation of the communications and relationship strategy with local, regional and national governments which impact the Gronau site
- Responsibility for all external communications in accordance with site requirements, as well as reporting on the communications budget
- Advising and supporting the Urenco Group to ensure compliance with all relevant German regulations
- Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating draft legislation, new laws, and political debates at federal and state level, as well as media coverage related to nuclear energy (Urenco in general or specifically the Gronau site), with regard to their impact on Urenco
This is you:
- You hold a completed university degree, ideally in political science, English/English literature, or a related field
- You have at least eight years of professional experience in relationship management with government affairs, public affairs, PR, or communications management
- Leading employees and managing projects and resources are among your strengths
- You are responsible for developing and implementing strategies and campaigns related to relationship management with governments and communication
- You are proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- You have excellent, business-fluent German and English language skills and are able to communicate effectively at all required levels
