Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic PR Manager (junior) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for public relations and communications, with a focus on building media relationships and effectively pitching articles, press releases, and securing speaker slots for conferences. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the startup and VC sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets relevant to the venture capital and startup ecosystem.
- Proactively pitch story ideas and press materials to media contacts to secure coverage for our clients.
- Content Creation and editorial: Assist in drafting compelling press releases, articles, and other PR materials that align with our clients' communication objectives.
- Events and conferences: Identify and secure speaking opportunities at industry conferences and events for clients, ensuring they are positioned as thought leaders in their respective fields.
- Research: Conduct research to support PR campaigns, including media landscape analysis and identifying emerging industry trends.
- Reporting: Monitor media coverage and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Studies or a related field.
- Strong interest in the venture capital, startup, and tech industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; and proficiency in German.
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt writing style for different audiences.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication strategies.
- Previous experience in PR, internships, or related roles is advantageous but not required.
